Minnetonka Cave

The cave was awesome. There was a section with very steep stairs that you could see through the slots.. I had completely forgotten how much I am scared of heights! Imagine.. in a cave being scared of heights. I was literally forcing myself to descend. Oh my gosh it was petrifying! But I did it, and I may have bruises on my knees from the knocking, but I did it by golly!
However, I wish I could've hiked without a tour-guide and group..
And while we're wishing.. a tripod would've been nice too. (Note the blurriness)
Spencer decided that needed to leave his mark in the cave.. A pee puddle. We toileted the animals before we descended into the cave, and Syd held it.. However my wonderful Spence filled his shoes and spilled the rest onto the cave floor. So much for maintaining a fragile ecosystem. Joys of children. (Can you see his pee trail on his pants?)!

Echo Lake

We went to Echo lake with Ryan and Amber. It was a blast. Here is Syd's first boat and intertube ride..
So much fun!

Spencer wouldn't let me take a picture of him. Pest.
Amber jumped in to cool off and Syd climbed right to the back of the boat and jumped right to her! My little daredevil.
Braden is cute.
Unfortunately Brandon and I are in sore need of tans. Haha. This was on the boat.

Spence is 6!

Happy 6th Birthday Spence. This picture is SO you! Thank you Drew and Hayden for the bionicle. Awesome.
We took the kids to kangaroo zoo. It was incredibly fun, but fyi if you obsess about where the kids are every second.. maybe it's not the place for you. Absolutely fun, impossible to keep track of all the kids on all the bounce houses. To Kangaroo Zoo: I recommend matching stamp numbers for parents and children!
Here's the Birthday BOY! (Notice the socks. HAHA. I didn't until Lamon pointed them out to me). Yes, we're white trash. No, I don't need someone to buy Spence new socks. Haha. He's a little Shrek, this one.. He likes his big toe hanging out.
Syd is so cute. Thats all I have to say.

I think all and all Spence had a grand bday! We had cupcakes, gifts and fun galore. I was VERY disappointed because I didn't use a fast enough shutter speed for the amount of activity going on. Most of my pictures turned out blurry. Dang. Oops. Shameful.

Marine Fascination

WARNING: too many pictures of me to follow! :) Just kidding..
Here is me.
Here is me, again. We climbed around some rocks and BAM these is a cave. I was sooo tempted to climb in, but yes, I know dangerous. I didn't by the way.
Here is me again. I'm pointing to a starfish. Btw, like my mop-hair? It was very windy.
Marine fascination is referring to my hubby! I grew up totally taking advantage of the fact that I saw tide pools and visited the beach pretty often... Brandon just absolutely goes gaga over it, and I love it! Here's him venturing out while the tide is rolling in..
Fun, huh? Dang. He didn't fall though. That would've been the best pic.

We were so sad to leave the ocean. What a treat it was! We saw crabs, sea anemones, starfish and a few more things. I had to laugh when Braden got all freaked out over the seaweed. haha. Everytime he saw some sea weed that looked different he was like, "Dad.. Dad.. look at this." ahahahahha. Love it.

Disneyland

Braden standing outside Tarzan's treehouse. There is Spence in the background doing what he does best, fiddling with things. Good thing it was Disneyland, and to be expected.
Spencer was so excited for the "pirate ship"! You can see it in the background pulling up.
Here is my Dad, Ofelia and my boys.
The kids in ToonTown.
We got to meet Mickey!
Marry Poppins!

Our favorite ride, Buzz Lightyear. Haha. Once we learned we could turn the cars, it was even funner. And there we have it! This vacation was a much needed break!
