So today was Brandon's Birthday. We had some fun plans.. I FINALLY got a babysitter, Brandon got off early, we've been DYING to see Dark Knight, and dinner was somewhere in there. Anyway on his way home a semi tipped right in the middle of I15, Brandon wasn't anywhere near..Thank Goodness!! But there was also an accident on the alternate route- Don't people know how to drive! Maybe driving tests need to be stiffer? I am kidding now but let me tell you when I realized that I wasn't going to be able to carry out my plans I was ready to call whatever branch of government controls that (after some research).
Needless to say I cancelled the babysitter (thanks anyway Ben and Linds) and I'm sitting here at home with a crying baby in one arm (she wants the keyboard) watching Bionicle: Legend of Matanu'ey (something like that) with my kiddies. There is no use having Brandon waste gas on the freeway (he got stuck around 6th No.) so he is out with Derrick (his bro) seeing a movie and celebrating a birthday (I insisted). So, Derrick got my date.
I thought about moping (actually I did mope for probably more time than was necessary) but then realized.. Man I have Bionicle and a tv dinner.. I got it good! Syd is done crying- what more can I ask for. I won't see Brandon til late tonight. Oh well everybody poops. I guess it could be worse. Happy 29th Brandon!! Til next time my blog reading friends.

Ready for THE UPDATE??
We are here in Centerville, UT. It was a funny little adventure to load the moving van.. We found out that our stuff does not fit in a 17ft moving truck- word to the wise overestimate your mode of moving x2, and it took us about 5.5 hours to get here.. ouch that stunk. Our poor little ones in the backseat. Oh well they got over it! Fortunately for us we had some "connections" here (a few friends and some friendly family members) and it only took about 1/2 hour to unload. Thank goodness! I didn't know how much more I could handle!
We have the place painted and our furniture is where it goes. We have found out that the people who lived here before are not as handy as my wonderous man husband! He has alot of projects..All we need now is alittle $$ to do them! But I think we are both grateful for the opportunity to invest time and money into something that is ours! ;)
I am still commuting down..(pout). I have one more set of 4 this week and I'm finished whoo hoo! I have to admit it is kinda bitter sweet though. I LOVE the peoples that I work(ed) with, but it is nice for Brandon to be finishing school and we have FINALLY got into a home! We are glad that we have a place to grow into..instead of sardine into- if you get my drift. I have been busy unpacking and busy being abit overwhelmed. There is alot to do!
We are doing well. So no worries! I am trying to get the boys accustomed to playing outside! Man! I sometimes think, when did I raise scaredy cats? I was happy to see them torturing bugs outside with squirtguns the other day (proud moments) like boys are supposed to be doing. I have to admit I gave them tips to find, trap and keep the bugs alive to observe them. Rollie Pollies (or potato bugs) are their favorites- it took alittle bit to convince them that they are harmless. Smile. I love my kids. Anyway. this is panning out to be a long post.
ps no pictures this time but the camera is now unpacked and ready for action.

The outside of the HOUSE before we moved in
Here the boys are outside while we visited.
This is one half of our backyard.
I have no idea what this fruit is and it drives me nuts. I thought it was a plum at some point but..? We have a peach tree and also what looks to be a granny smith apple tree.
Sorry there are not many shots of anything else. I haven't taken very many pictures that were worth posting.

June 6 SYDNEY's 1st Birthday
I am convinced I have the cutest little girl on the planet. We got ice cream cake for our little Syd, and let it sit for a few minutes..Well we thought it was a few minutes, but the cake thought it was hours because it was like pudding when we opened it. Syd had no problem eating it though. She began just using one finger to scoop. Then..
She wanted to share, but not before she began using her whole fist to paint the ice cream all over her face, chest and body.
Sorry for the red eyes, but the fist in the mouth was too cute to pass up.
I wanted to see what she would do with a spoon. She evidently thought it was a drum stick because we had a mess exponentially larger after that. We had ice cream cake on the wall, our bookshelf, me the garbage can. Pretty much anything within 5-10 feet of the highchair had splatter marks.
Beautiful Syd got a bath after. It made a perfect ending to a pefectly messy birthday. By the way, the coloring is correct..the water really is brown in the background.

Our LAST (two) Zions Trip(s) this Season
Our last trip to Zions.. (this happened a couple months ago- I was informed I had to update my blog). We hiked to the upper, middle and lower Emerald pools. I have to admit I was a bit of a stress case with the drop offs on the side but it was beautiful. Poor little Spencer's nerves were shot by the end because I made him hold my hand on the scarey parts. Brandon is taking the picture here..He came too ;)This is Braden, my baldy. We buzzed both of their hair the day before. We are happily playing in the water. It's funny just before I took this picture a little boy to the side of me was totally peeing in the water. I was again amused and mortified at the same time. My emotions seem to come in two sometimes.
Spencer couldn't understand why he couldn't pee in the water too. They're such cute kids. :P It's times like these that make me proud..
Braden and Spencer and the best little hikers you have ever seen. l.
Here is our family. We kept running into this cute older couple. They were tourists from Kansas.. everytime we stopped somewhere they offered to take our picture. I was beginning to think maybe we are this cute photogenic family.. until I uploaded the images and realized my family is cute and photogenic and I uh- well lets just say, it wasn't my best hairday and I'm not very photgenic. Don't be surprised when there aren't alot of pictures of me.

A Kindergarten Grad and a MOVIE STAR
So, uh Braden was a Movie Star for his Kindergarten Graduation Program! He was adorable, as you can see. I was very proud..I almost cried.
I think Braden loves to ham is up and I love watching him do it. I wonder sometimes what this will equate to when he is a teenager (shudder) or an adult. I'm very proud of him. He can read and write and he LIKES it! And guess what... He has alot of personality.
This is Braden with the other kids. The picture is abit blurry (it was dark and they were moving). They had these props that they used. And they were well trained (Good Job Ms. Godfrey). I might be biased, but Braden stole the show. Halfway through the program he started itching his armpits and hair like a little monkey. I was delighted, entertained and horrified at the same time. Sigh. Motherhood.
